Chapter 26: The Emotional Rollercoaster

BLISSFUL EUPHORIA

She took a step back and stood on the field, looking at Jay with curiosity. "What's going on, Jay? Why are we here?" she asked.

The wind blew over the field of Alyssum flowers, spreading a sweet, honey-like fragrance throughout the area. A few butterflies danced around the flowers, creating a serene and tranquil atmosphere. Aria's mind was completely captivated by the beauty of the place, causing her to forget everything else. She loved how the place helped her mind to relax.

As Jay walked towards Aria and stood in front of her on the green grass field, he remarked, "Your life is like this field of flowers - beautiful and sweet. My life, on the other hand, is like this plain green grass field".

Aria smiled and replied, "But your life is necessary for the flowers to grow. Without the grass, the flowers wouldn't be able to thrive and bloom."

Jay smiled back, impressed by Aria's insight. "You're right," he said. "Sometimes the plain and simple things in life are just as important as the beautiful ones."

Jay took a deep breath and looked into Aria's eyes. "I know you've been going through a tough time lately, Aria. I could sense it in your text messages and when we met the other day. And I know I haven't been the most supportive during this time. But I wanted to make it up to you, to show you that I care and that I'm here for you. So tell me if there are any issues between us which I am not aware of"

Aria asked Jay, "Jay, how many of your friends or family members know about me?"

Jay appeared confused by her question and responded, "What do you mean by that, dear?"

Aria continued, "Let me put it this way. You know most of my friends, colleagues, and family members, right?"

Jay replied, "Yes, I do. What's the point you're trying to make?"

Aria expressed her concern, "I trust you, and I feel close to you, but I don't know much about your life outside of our relationship. It's like you're an empty book. You don't share anything with me."

Jay interrupted, "That's not true. I share everything with you every day because you're the only one who listens to me and understands me."

Aria's voice quivered as she held back tears, "I know that, but we never talk about your friends, colleagues, or family members. You haven't even introduced me to anyone in your life. It makes me feel like you're keeping me in the dark."

Aria added, "I don't even know if you have any siblings or not." The tears streamed down her face, and she began to cry. Jay chuckled and moved closer to Aria. He gently guided her head toward his chest and embraced her warmly. Jay softly said, "Sweetheart, I don't have any siblings. I'm my father's only child."

In a slow, irritated voice, Aria replied, "Yes, you're telling me now. I don't want to force you to do anything you're not comfortable with. If you don't want to tell me, then don't."

Jay replied, "I understand your concern, my dear. Don't worry, from now on, I will share everything with you and introduce you to everyone. You are an important person to me, my love. I would never put you in this situation again."

Jay's words overwhelmed her, but as she expressed herself, she felt a sense of relief and hugged Jay even tighter. After a few minutes of calming down, Aria commented, "This place is truly beautiful. How did you discover it?"
